I have two large dogs my husky is having issues with corn and my ten year old dog can not have chicken, my husky weighs 77 pounds eats two cups twice day and my ten year old dog weighs 51 pounds eats 1 1/2 cups
I really wanted to follow some of the guidelines from these video’s, but when I noticed that she does not reply to any of the questions posted on the videos, it had me feeling skeptical. The content of the videos is great, but the questions the viewers have are also very relevent and not included in the videos.
Everyone should be using a digital scale to measure kibble by weight, specifically to the .1 gram, so that both caloric intake and cost per day can be calculated accurately. Measuring kibble by volume is so wildly inaccurate. Your numbers might as well be made up out of thin air.
Why would you lie about the serving size on the Taste of the Wild??? I just looked at the back of the bag and it plainly says 4 3/4 cups for adult 100lb dog! You can’t trust anyone these days!

I know this is an old video vut if your still active if like to know gow you feel about Pure balance wild and free Salmon and pea (walmart brand) and Diamond natrals (i think its tractor supplys food. Both foods have decent first ingredients but i dont know what to look for as far as bad ingredients.
man i am trying to find an affordable not gross food for my dogs. i have 4 dogs, 2 small 2 large. 2 are 70-80lbs, 2 are below 15lbs. right now i am feeding stellas and chewys wild red and they absolutely love it but its 300+ a month 😢so i hoped i could find something cheaper and better or equal. please help.
What is your opinion on pure balance dry dog food? I have been feeding this food to my lab pit mix and I just want to make sure that he’s getting a good balanced meal. I also am concerned that he scratches a lot especially by his tail and he has dry skin and I have been thinking of switching his food because I don’t know what is causing him to scratch.

You should review each major stores brands like Kroger, HEB, Target , Walmart , tractor supply, Winco , Sam’s, and Costco, that’s where the majority of pet food especially dog food is bought the majority of us can’t afford to go to petsmart, petco, or chewie they all too high priced get with reality that the average family is making 25k-40k in America and needs the absolute cheapest but best among the cheapest

First person I’ve seen yet to say iams is a terrible food, and to basically avoid it its so bad. I’ve seen quite the opposite on every other review I can find. Iams almost always makes to the list of top affordable dry dog foods.

I love from. Salt may be bad in a dog food but that’s the same as giving ur dog table scraps when we eat meat with salt/pepper/garlic/onion seasoning.

Where you breaking each food down to how many grams per cup?
I understand for the sake of comparing prices it doesn’t matter, but 8oz in volume is not the same as 8oz of dry weight

Just my perspective here. I have a 68 pound dog , pretty active, and I prepare her food myself. I buy the 3 pound blocks of hamburger which are about $14 unless I can find them on sale ( I don’t worry too much about the fat content but I try to keep it low) And bags of frozen veggies. I mix the ground beef with about 2 cups of veggies and one cup of white rice ( before cooking). I think that’s around $16 each meal prep. That last about 4 days. So 30 ( days in a month) / by 4= 7.5 times I have to cook a month. And $16 times 7.5 is $120 a month. Way cheaper , and healthier ( I think) than bagged food. Of course she gets treats and bones occasionally.

I refigured this on my own, with a spreadsheet and was able to find information that took me even deeper than the easy math here. NutriSource chicken and rice is more nutrient dense than the beef and rice listed in this video, and I am able to feed my 53lb lab for roughly $40 a month. I did break my spreadsheet a bit farther down into cost per meal and cost per day lol. We’ve been very happy with NutriSource. I do always find myself still googling and searching foods even though I am comfortable with NutriSource and recommend it anytime someone asks for a food recommendation. Dog food is such a rabbit hole lol.
