  4. Buying from a reputable breeder is always important. I bought a multi-generational (parents, grandparents etc all Labradoodles, not a cross) Labradoodle from a good breeder who bred for health and temperament. He gets groomed regularly, loves his groomer. My fellow is a joy.

  10. He is gorgeous….My 8 month old female doodle can be quite a handful when grooming. She loves her groomer. She does a fantastic job.
    Always TIP your groomer and bather every session. They have earned it!

  11. We have a cute blue eyed terrier mutt named Skye. She was so beautiful I had to adopt her. She loves us but surprise! Dominates our sweet other old dogs! Its been so hard to deal with. Dont let great looks fool ya! You might say, she’s a charming vampire!

  13. My parents’ goldendoodle is around seven months now, and he’s getting better at listening the older he gets. He’s a good boy for the most part, still nips a little, but you can get him to quit fairly easily.

  15. Personally, myself.I would never want a poodle.I see too many of them that bite.I don’t know what this is about, but they seem like.They’re just too stressed out of a dog when they have to be groomed.That makes that dog I don’t know i’m a likable dog to me

  16. I don’t understand the negative feelings about golden doodles. My boy is almost 11 years old. He was the easiest dog to train and very smart. He is loyal & the protector of the whole family. He is the best boy ever!!

  18. I worked as a vet receptionist for a little bit and doodles are ALWAYS the worst. Pitties and Rottweilers always have the worst rap and you’d think they would be terrible but they were always the sweetest. It’s the doodles who are neurotic and hateful 😂

  24. Well, they are both water dogs. Poodles were originally in the Sporting Group (about 100yrs ago). My great grandmother, grandmother and then my Mom, Sister and I were all into showing dogs and all that.

    This is why the combination of the two breeds isn’t as insane as let’s say a Puggle. This makes me ill–Beagles have an intense scent drive: They’ll walk right in front of a train before losing the scent. Mix that with a breed that has eyes OUTSIDE the head: Brilliant. Utterly brilliant. First encounter with any prey, including it’s housemate the CAT: Say goodnight Irene to those eyeballs outside the head.

    That is a "designer breed" that really pisses me off, obviously.

  27. I am shocked to find out, that this is standard behavior for Doodles in your country. I live in Denmark and here Doodles have also become wery, wery popular. I see them as easy, happy, gentle dogs. I have worked with a wet for 10 years, never seen a agressive Doodle.
    My own Doodle, died of old age 3 weeks ago. he used to lay down and fall a sleep, while i groomed his body. he didnt like the clipper on his legs, but stood still and has newer growled or bitten
    What do people in your part of the world do to them ???

  29. Poodles are soooo soooo smart.
    Mix that with nervous and they’ll nip every time. My standard poodle would never tolerate going to a groomer so I take care of it at home.

  33. Vanessa, I’m so impressed how, with a dog you don’t really know, you can pick up on the differences between warning snaps / attempts to bite the tools only / genuine aggression and treat the dog accordingly – in this case laughing at Moose and his childish snappiness.

  36. 💕 you do a great job putting these videos out to educate people about the reality of grooming 😅
    My miniature poodle gets professionally groomed every 2 weeks and I bath her in the shower in between. I have some physical disabilities and it’s hard for me to brush her, so I keep her short so she’s easy to maintain.
    She has daycare at the groomer for 2 hrs before each grooming so she loves going for a play with the other dogs and it tires her out a bit. She’s 10yrs old and has been going to that salon her since a puppy. She turns inside out when I tell her we are going to the parlour, she loves it ❤🥰

  37. I know this is 9 months old but my Doodle just embarrassed the heck out of me at the groomer. He’s been going since he was a puppy( he is 2 now) and I think due to allergies he lashed out when his paws were getting trimmed and he bite the groomer.. I was horrified! We’ve worked on this and I groom him at home as well. I felt like my kids teacher was telling me my kid had an “incident “ and we need to discuss his behavior 🤦🏽‍♀️

  43. I have a black doodle similar to Moose. She is a weirdo. Loves grooming, must be touched at all times, and initiates hand holding with her paws. Absolute nut bucket.

  44. this dog is mixed with a standard poodle … it’s deff gonna bite they are for sure bitters and they will attack people . All of my aunts standard poodles were beautiful but aggressive to other people who didn’t live in a he home my brother was bitten 3x by 3 diff dogs

  46. That’s kinda like what my dog does. If someone tries to clean or shave around her paws, she will growl a bit while we do it.
